2.4.1 Structural Design
- Summary
The Material I chose for my bridge was Carbon Steel, solid bar 140x140 160x160 and 170x170. Most of my bridge is triangles. There is also no support on the top of the bridge. My cost of my bridge came up to $392,296.25. Structural Engineering is the design of structural elements and their connections that work together to support loads and maintain stability within a system. which I used for my whole project. My bridge is built with 4 meter intervals also.

What did you learn? I Learned how to build a bridge using many constraints and cost limits. I also learned many ways to build bridges and what types of materials to use, which ones will work better and what will not hold that well.
What did you find interesting? I found that you can make the bridge stronger by making the material thicker on the top and the bottom of the bridge .
What would you do next time and why? I would try to make a more difficult bridge and use less pieces to challenge myself more. I also would try to make my price to the minimum amount. I would try to make my tension and compression not in the middle more on the sides to try to make it more stronger.
