The purpose of this project was to simulate, build and test a majority vote genorator. The board of directors has 4 members. The President, Vice President, secretary and the treasurer. Each of the members has a yes or no vote. with that being said a majority of the members vote yes, it will be passed. If the vote is ever a tie, the presidents vote breaks the tie. This voting machine will allow 4 board members to cast ballots which will display a pass or fail status.

In order to find all of the minterms for a Function 1 (F1) is true (1), I created a truth table. In order for one decision (pass is 1, fail is 0) to be carried out it must have the majority of votes. The president's vote is weighted and counts for two. Unless all three vote againts the president, the side with the president always wins. The president vice president secretary and tresurer have 0 and one , in th eend the decision will also be 0 which is fail and 1 which is passing the vote.

this ecpression shows all of the votes that passed. which means they have a one. for example, the first one is Not P which is 0 V is 1 S is 1 and T is also a 1 , this expression comes out with a decision of 1.

with the simplified expression i created this circuit. it was very complex and easy to do. After i finished i created a breadboard circuit and tested it out and got the same, simpified expression with the switches.

there are only 4 switches, which either turn on or off which means the vote is yes or no. Using the given constraints, the motion to pass must have the majority of the voters and the president's vote counts as two, we create a table that shows all of the possible outcomes. i worote all of the possible outcomes as an equation. After i have the equation, i could sketch and then make a circuit using materials like wires, and a bread board. This tells me if my expression really works correctly.
